This public roundtable will bring together business leaders from the Ibero-American Business Network for Green Growth (IABN), the wider Corporate Leaders Network and partner organisations across countries and sectors to 1) exchange experiences and lessons learnt on domestic and international policy and industry enablers to unlock progress at speed and scale on the energy transition, including on the need for electrification in light of AI and industrial demand increasing rapidly 2) Draw out the principles for a sustainable energy transition applicable across countries and contexts, in support of a robust outcome at COP30 on the energy agenda.
The event will feature the IABN Business Statement launched at Climate Week New York 2025, calling on governments to create the enabling conditions for a just, inclusive, prosperous and nature-positive energy transition in Latin America and beyond, in support of the global goal of tripling renewables by 2030 agreed at COP28.
